Tights!

I love tights.
I like Brisbane weather in winter because it's good tights wearing weather....not too hot, not too cold.
These are my favourites that I own right now:

I had been looking for these for AGES! but then i finally found them on ebay! Cass from Skins wears them and I want to be her (minus the drug problems and anorexia I guess).

She is lovely.

Then I saw these ones...............!

Pity they're Chanel and cost many hundreds of dollars.

BUT! i was at a party the other night and I saw a girl wearing some that were very similar....I asked her where she got them from and she told me they were Alannah Hill

(check out her website.....adorable!) from David Jones............where I just happen to have a job now!!! yay tights!

so i found them.......

and i wore them and got one thousand compliments!

Lately I have been finding all sorts of different coloured tights in op shops too (unopened!), they are cheap and different and wonderful and I love them.

Birthday fun times!

It was my birthday on Monday, im 22 now.
To celebrate, I had a little party on Saturday night and I ended up wearing my NEW dress that I got off ebay.

My friends bought me a little brownie cake! My friend Emma attempted cupakes but they didn't quite work out....but it's the thought that counts right?!

On Monday Emma took me on a special adventure to the Gold Coast.

She drove us there in the stealth panther.

We had bird balloons!

We had delicious lunch and then found an op shop.

I bought these four lovely dresses for my shop.

It was such a fun birthday!

Tomorrow i'm going to Sydney for a holiday with Tayte. I'm so excited but as usual I haven't packed yet and I have to get up super early to catch the plane.

While we're there we're going to go and see Pony Up!....I love them.

Also, tomorrow the second line up accouncement for Splendour In The Grass happens!
My predictions/hopes = Grizzly Bear, Passion Pit, Regina Spektor....fingers crossed!!!

Snapshots lately

Life update in picture form!..........

1. The other day I had a job interview in the city. After, I decided to buy a delicious bubble tea and go to Borders and read the lovely magazines that I had no intention of buying.

I thought someone might come and yell at me for sitting on the floor with my obvious intentions....but they didn't!

Nylon magazine is good and I love it because you get to see heaps of overseas fashions. It also talks about all of these shops that I went to when I was in America and makes me want to go back there A LOT. One day when I have paid off my credit card and saved up lots of money I will.

Dumbo Feather, Pass it on, is a cute little Australian magazine that is all matte and lovely. It basically tells five different peoples stories about their lives and what they do in story/interview form. I really enjoy it.

2. I received this dress in the mail the other day! I bought it on ebay from a store in America called Native American Vintage. It's like a little sailor dress with a big lace collar and pretty floral.

3. Look at all of these zippers! I'm studying fashion design part time at Tafe at the moment and I LOVE it! The other day my teacher showed me a room that is just full of things like buttons, zippers and all other fun, sewing related items and she said I could take anything, for free! She gave me this huge giant bag of zips and i'm going to make heaps of crazy clothes involving them.

4. This is my dog called Harry. I need to get him a coat because he gets cold at night time now that it's winter.

5. I went op shopping the other day and this was in one of them. I'm not really sure which part was for sale - the hat or the head......i decided not to enquire further.

6. These are some lovely geese that I know. They live near a secret car park and I go and visit them sometimes. I'm glad they are behind a fence though because geese chase and bite.

Also, it's my birthday party tonight and I don't know what to wear! I need to go and investigate my wardrobe now I think.
